The Foundry Ale Works breaks the mold when it comes to originality.

Dinner entrees range from $10.95 to $18.95, with sandwiches, wraps and appetizers priced from about $6.00 to $9.00.

The Perogies and Wraps are simply the best Pittsburgh has to offer. The Jerk Chicken Wrap for instance is exceptional. A large Roasted Red Pepper tortilla, overstuffed with perfectly spiced chicken and pepper cheese.

The building, as the name implies was originally a foundry for smelting metals. Careful restoration has created a truly unique dining environment, which compares and contrasts favorably to the popular restored churches venues.

Large, vaulted timbers cathedral high over the main dining concourse and upper-level loft. Well-spaced tables create a comfortable, open and relaxed dining experience.

Picture windows and skylights flood the Foundry with natural light in the daytime and give way to soft ambient lighting at night.

The front of the building features a sunken lounge with comfortable leather sofas and chairs positioned in front of a huge, working stone fireplace. At the rear, steel and copper brewing casks provide beauty and punctuate the establishment's sense of purpose.

The curbside portico includes a wide ramp, making the Foundry easily accessible to patrons using walkers, wheelchairs or pushing strollers.
